Enrolling in the criminal justice program at the JVS is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in pursuing a career in the criminal justice field. In this program, students will learn about the legal system, law enforcement, and crime prevention. They will acquire knowledge about criminal law, constitutional law, criminal investigation, and forensic science.

One of the primary benefits of studying criminal justice at the Jefferson County Vocational School is that the curriculum is designed to provide students with hands-on experience. They will learn practical skills that will prepare them for a career in the criminal justice field. Students can expect to participate in simulated crime scene investigations, forensic analysis, and mock trials.

Additionally, students can expect to learn firearm profficiency in state of the art simulation equipment, how to work as a 911 call center dispatcher and even learn to pilot surveillance drones!
